Services

The core of Freightgator's business is Customs clearance. As a general commodities specialist, FgL can handle a wide variety of merchandise with relative ease, including machinery & parts thereof, automotive goods, textiles & foodstuffs. FgL will decline opportunities to engage in traffic consisting of live animals and plants, and always reserves the right to refuse to handle any shipment at the broker's discretion.

Due to limitations of the Remote Location Filing program, FgL cannot file entries subject to quota or anti-dumping, except in its' home port of Chicago. Certain other entry types are prohibited as well, but these two are the most commonly encountered. Aside from that, FgL is an RLF specialist, with extensive experience at ports across the country.

FgL has deliberately chosen to refrain from specialty brokerage services such as drawback and consulting at this time. This allows FgL to focus on those services already outlined, which are simply the area in which the company can demonstrate continued excellence.

FgL is not a freight forwarder; however, export services can be arranged through one of our partner forwarders. The selection of the forwarder is determined by the client, commodity and destination in most cases - a number of forwarders that FgL works with are routinely able to provide excellent service in conjunction with FgL's own services. FgL is compensated by the client in the form of our standard handling fee; in some cases, FgL may receive a sales commission on the freight charges, where an agreement exists with the forwarder to act as their sales agent. The client can still expect to receive the quality service they expect from FgL's import services.
