About FgL
Freightgator Logistics Inc. was incorporated in the State of Illinois on Jan. 30, 2003, although it would be another year before the corporate Customs broker license was obtained. During the interim period, Customs business was conducted as a sole proprietor utilizing Bob's personal license.
The name comes from a rather silly notion to have an email address that could be constructed from letters & numbers to sound out a name that had something to do with transportation: fr8g8r @ westerncom.net, and the name was born. The address is no longer valid, having gone the way of the woolly mammoth once the fglogistics.com domain & website were introduced in April 2004.
Also in 2004, the national permit and authority to participate in the Remote Location Filing program were gained, and the business began growing, taking advantage of the opportunities afforded by RLF.
On January 30, 2008, FgL is officially 5 years old!
Freightgator is owned & operated by Robert A. Dugger, CCS, CHB, a licensed broker since 1992, and a Certified Customs Specialist since the programs' inception by the NCBFAA. Bob has extensive experience in Customs brokerage, working for the smallest brokers (Freight-Base Inc) to the biggest (Air Express International, now part of DHL). Bob has the full support of his family in operating the business and ensuring its' success.
The website is hosted on LinkSky servers and utilizes the Drupal Content Management System. The current theme is "Garland."
